Azimuth is "Phase I" of ongoing research and experimentation with "spatialization" in sound and video, moving away from 2-dimensional, traditional exhibition spaces (stereo speakers and a flat projection screen) towards a multi-dimensional audiovisual space. Through the use of Max/MSP to build improvisational software environments, the multi-dimensional space becomes "sculpted" in real time in synesthetic interplay.
